Phantom Blade Zero preload: time and practical steps
S-GAME announced preload from October 26 at 7 PM PDT — October 27 at 02:00 UTC. The announcement is published on Steam and addresses PC players. Downloading files early does not unlock the game early.
- Steam: use the account that owns your preorder, open Library, select Phantom Blade Zero and use Pre-load if the client offers it.
- PS5: check the game in your library and its download or auto-download options. The sources checked here do not independently establish a PS5 preload start time.
- Epic: check the game in your library. We have not independently confirmed whether Epic offers preload or at what time.
- If the option is missing, check the storefront and account used for the purchase. A third-party preorder key must be delivered and activated before that account can access its game library entry.
Download size and free disk space
The developer’s PC announcement lists the game at approximately 145 GB and asks players to reserve at least 300 GB for the preload process. These are different figures: the temporary space requirement is not a claim that the final installation is 300 GB.
Install on an SSD and update your graphics driver, as the developer recommends. The PC figures should not be reused as a verified PS5 download size. Consult the space requirement displayed by your own store client.

The confirmed instant falls on October 28 in US Pacific and Eastern time and October 29 in UTC, Europe and Asia. Use the explicit time zone rather than treating a storefront date alone as a local midnight launch.
Is the countdown the same worldwide?
Yes. This page counts toward one timestamp, October 29 at 02:00 UTC. Only the clock and calendar representation change with your selected time zone. The live counter relies on your device clock being accurate.
Do PS5 and PC unlock together?
